Job Summary:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Cost Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Cost Estimator, you'll assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, analyzing data, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Preparing Cost Estimates: Support senior estimators in creating detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze Data: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost estimates align with project goals.
• Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of cost estimates, project progress, and changes.
• Support Project Meetings: Prepare for and attend project meetings, providing cost-related updates and insights.
• Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Identify potential areas for cost savings and propose recommendations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, or quantity surveying.
• Basic Knowledge: Understanding of cost estimation principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Estimating Software: Familiarity with software like RSMeans, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Certification: Basic certification like Certified Cost Estimator (CCE) or equivalent.
